Dale Farm Rural Campsite
Nestled in the heart of the Derbyshire Dales, Dale Farm Rural Campsite is set on one side of a working farm.
Comprising of a single gravel road running up a fairly steep embankment, the campsite offers level and generously sized camping plots on either side of the track. With all the amenities you could wish for, there's a very high quality toilet/shower block at the bottom of the site which also serves as an information point on the site and the general area. There's even an onsite farm shop selling basic items such as eggs and frozen meats.
Fires are allowed with wood and fire pits available and I was pleased to find that the showers were free of charge. Drinking water taps are plentiful around the site too. When I visited Dale Farm was a very quiet campsite with great facilities and I'd be more than happy to return.
Biker's Note: The hill track leading up through the campsite is loose gravel, but it's fairly easy to navigate and shouldn't pose any problems for competent riders.
